Owners Nicole Thurman and her aunt Deb Prater (Aunt Deb) create functional and fun artwork and furniture from reclaimed and recycled materials.
They are probably best known for their “Window Tables”. Old wooden windows are transformed into true works of art that also function as display tables. Great as coffee tables, end tables, sofa tables, collection displays, etc. Window tables are available for sale at the Tangerinas store, or can be custom ordered in your choice of color, size or finish style.
Other very unusual and extremely popular items are the hardware people and art. They take salvaged materials such as antique brass draw pulls, springs, caps, old house keys, add a scrap piece of vintage fabric, assemble them on a salvaged cabinet door, add detail painting and a “Princess” is created.
Words and sayings such as WELCOME”, “BELIEVE”, or “CHEERS” are created using scrap pieces of metal, hinges, screws, plumbing parts, etc.

Ear Bobs (ear rings), necklaces and bracelets with some of the pieces made from antique and vintage jewelry that have been taken apart to be reused in new and funky ways.All the ear bob wire work is completely hand twisted by Nicole.
Both Nicole and Aunt Deb can do all aspects of the design, paint and build by themselves, but it really is a team effort. Rarely is a piece completed that does not have both sets of hands and creativeness involved in some way. Many times our customers will ask who thought up an idea and we truly cannot remember whose initial brilliant idea it was!
